Still Think Nothing is going to happen?

There is a lot of debate among members of the 2nd amendment community about just how serious of a problem we are facing with our new administration coming into power….  there are those among us that are hoping that they will have bigger fish to fry than to meddle with our rights.

Well, think again.

It was up on barackobama.com in less than three days (it might have been sooner, but I can’t verify that myself), and it’s up on whitehouse.gov within the first 24 hours… our new president plans on doing all sorts of attacks on our fundamental rights.

Don’t believe me?  Don’t want to believe me?  Go see for yourself, in black and white:

Do a pattern search for “Address gun violence in cities” to get right to the fun part.  To make life simple, here’s a direct cut and paste quote:

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

That line in the middle about “respecting the rights of gun owners?”  File that under “I will respect you in the morning” among the best lines to use when you want to get the result you need.

Wake up and get ready, the new day is dawning, and it’s not going to be pretty.
